Bio

This is me in a Cessna 172 that I used to fly.
My name is Tim Corban. God is the most important part of my life. My wife and kids are next. On Feb 8th, 1986, I married to the most wonderful woman in the world, my lovely wife Kenisha, the mother of my four wonderful children, the woman that I would gladly lay down my own life for, and the only woman I will ever love “as we both shall live.”
I am a private airplane pilot, with tail wheel and complex endorsements. I always say that motorcycles are a poor man’s airplane. Riding a bike gives you many of the same sensations that you get from flying, but much less expense. It is the ultimate in freedom and becoming “one with the machine.” Riding a motorcycle is the only other thing that can compare, and it’s real close.

This ia a 1979 CB500T, my first bike.
My other hobbies and interests are computers, photography and most any geek toys and technology. The other activity that I’d love to call a hobby is skydiving. I’ve only done it once and loved every second of it. But it’s kinda hard to justify calling it a hobby when you’ve only done it once.
I live in Brownsville, Oregon, USA, and have be riding motorcycles since 1990. My first bike was 1979 Honda CB500T. Looking at it now I think it was a pretty ugly bike, but hey, it’s what got me started, so I won’t complain.
My next bike was a much nicer looking on than the first one. It was a Honda Nighthawk 650. That was one fun bike and I still think it’s a good looking bike. Unfortunately times got tough and I sold the Nighthawk and quit riding for a number of years.

My second bike...or at least one like this. Same color and same year. A 1983 Honda Nighthawk 650.
When I finally got another bike, it wasn’t as big as I really wanted, but the price was to good to pass up. That one was a 1988 Honda Shadow 600VLX. One of my brothers is a painter and had his own shop at the time, so I had him do a custom true flame paint job on the Shadow. I road that one for about a year, then found a bike that I had dreamed about for over 20 years…only much newer of course. lol I now ride a 1991 Honda Goldwing GL1500. I love it.

The Shadow in this pic is my third bike. My 1991 Goldwing is behind it. I signed the title of the Shadow over to my son when I bought my Goldwing.
