Current Ride Map

If you see a  motorcycle pin (Last known location) on the map, I’m am on a current ride and new location pins pop up on the map.  Automatic pins will be about 10 min apart, and manual pins will be placed whenever I post them. (See Note in the Legend below map)

If you see a “finish” pin (Finish) or no pins at all, that indicates that I’m not currently riding and the map will not update until I start riding again.

The “Start” pin indicates the starting point for the ride shown on this map.

Finish The “Finish” pin indicates the last position of the ride shown on this map.

Last known location The “Motorcycle” pin shows the last known location if the ride on this map is still in progress.

The Orange pin shows automatic location updates as I ride.  These are updated every 10 – 15 minutes.

The Yellow pin indicates special POIs such locations where I stopped to take pictures, video etc.  I may also use it to mark intersections to make the red track lines more accurately show the roads I was on.

The Green pin indicates that I’m ok and have reached a particular check point or destination in one piece.  I may also use it to indicate that I’m ok if I have reason to believe that someone may be concerned about my well being due to bad weather or events on the news close to my location.

The Red pin is one I hope I never have to use.  If you see this pin on the map, it indicates that I’m either out of gas or have some kind of non-emergency situation and am not within cell phone range and can’t call for help.

Note: Even though the automatic tracking pins will be about 10 min appart, it can take up to 40 min for them to show up on the map. Clicking on a pin will show the date and time that I was at that location.
