US-129 in NC & TN – 11 miles – The Tail of the Draon – 11 miles – From the Deals Gap Motorcycle resort in North Carolina, through 318 curves in an 11 mile stretch, you will enjoy evey inch of this awesome road. Whether you are riding a cruiser, sport bike or a touring model this is one of those roads you will never forget. Although I have riden other roads just as good as the Tail of the Draon, part of the thrill of this road is it’s fame and seeing that you are only one of hundreds of bikes on any given day that gather at this biker’s shrine. Just to be able to say, “I rode the tail of the dragon” is an awesome feeling in and of it’s self. The resort features a bike & gift shop, gas station, camping and lodging for bikers from around the country and the world. You won’t regret riding this one!
