Visitor Rides

Have you been on a cool motorcycle ride?  Email me the story and some pics and I’ll post it right here on NA Biker for all your biker buddies to read and view! If you are not really a writer and would just like to post your ride pics on NA Biker, you can also register in the NA Biker Photo Gallery and upload them without writing a story or article. 
 
Note: Ride related pics are those that were taken while you were on a bike ride, and may or may not include your bike it’s self or you. Jef Francl – 2009 Ride – For years, I’ve thought that I wanted a Gold Wing when I retired. That’s hopefully in a little over 4 years from now. So, last year, I went to Colorado and rented one. I hadn’t been on a bike in 10 years, and only an idiot (or someone who’s really2ugly) would jump onto 920 pounds unrehearsed.     when I was getting my rear tire changed in Rapid City SD, I test-rode a gorgeous 2008 orange fully-loaded Goldwing; the asking price was $18,500 and I could have bought it as a Canadian because it was used (but had under 1000 miles on it) and the comparable price in Canada at the time was almost C$30,000 (Canucklebuck and USDollar were roughly at par at the time); HOWEVER, I didn’t like the ride, just too smooth and you flick your wrist and GO, I just prefer the V-Twin and was happy to get back on my modest Shadow 750 (but occasionally would like more power, especially on the interstates, so I have an eye on my buddy’s Honda VTX1300 which I’ve ridden (but again am usually happy to get back on my little 750)

    @ pjacobo – Thanks for the comment.  The Shadow and VTX are both great bikes, as is the Wing.  I have owned a shadow in the past and loved it.  If I could afford another bike right now, it would probably be a VTX.  But since I ride year round, rain or shine, for me the Goldwing is hard to beat.
